Topanga House
Inhabiting a spot of dramatic natural beauty, this strikingly modern AIA/LA Award winning home was designed in ultimate harmony with the landscape. Employing beautifully defined lines and structural composition, it’s an exquisitely crafted approach to minimalism.
Nestled high above the Pacific on a secluded peak of the Santa Monica mountains, the home is a study in light, texture and sublime geometry. Designed by award winning Sant Architects and constructed of monolithic concrete slabs, steel beams, wood and glass, the structure’s earthbound elements are punctuated by expansive walls of glass that illuminate the interiors while capturing the stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island and the mountain terrain. The effect is both elegant and simple, infusing texture, warmth and earthiness into an otherwise contemporary context.
LA House
Located in the hills above the Sunset Strip with dazzling views of the city, this holiday home in Los Angeles embodies the evocative mid-century glamour and architectural pedigree that sets the period apart.
Designed by legendary architect Richard Neutra, with restorations and an additional level added by Marmol Radziner, the home is an impeccable example of the period.
We love how this glassy home with its magnificent views above the fabled Sunset Plaza exudes a sincere sense of soul and lived-in wellbeing.
Villa Silver Lake
The owners say that the view is the first wow factor of Hummingbird Hill. And the Silver Lake Reservoir glimpses – from the hills to the snow-capped mountains in the winter – are quite profound.
Villa Sonoma
This cool wooden house, just north of San Francisco, was the dream of its interior-designer owner, who created every detail of it from scratch. We love the clean lines, high ceilings and open space.
Casa Venice
Perched just above the famed Abbot Kinney Boulevard in the heart of Venice, this apartment inhabits a crisp, modern mixed-use building designed by award-winning Sant Architects. Completed in 2006, this exceptionally designed, crafted and furnished apartment is styled for modern urban living and boasts wonderful indoor/outdoor relationships and spatial transparency.
Glass House California
This architect designed, two-story modern home is all angles and windows, even the backyard stepping stones adjacent to the saltwater dipping pool are rectilinear. The geometric masterpiece in the heart of West Hollywood was created by WHY Architecture, well known for their angular and artistic museum and cultural institution designs nationwide.
Treehouse
Tucked under a twisting tree canopy in a tranquil neighborhood in northeast Los Angeles, this terrace-abundant bungalow is immersed in leaves on an enchanting hillside. More modern-house-set-under-the-trees than a structure actually built into the branches, the multi-story bungalow blurs the boundaries between living indoors and out, with wraparound decks upstairs and down, and wide, sliding glass doors and windows that make the structure.
Casa San Rafael
Architect Beverley Thorne's masterfully crafted home represents the golden age of mid-century architecture in California. One of only a handful of the groundbreaking Case Study houses built between 1944 - 1967, this holiday home in Marin is one of those strikingly preserved gems whose visionary design remains relevant and modern over a half century later.
Topanga Sand
Inhabiting a spot of dramatic natural beauty, this strikingly modern AIA/LA Award winning home was designed in ultimate harmony with the landscape. Employing beautifully defined lines and structural composition, it’s an exquisitely crafted approach to minimalism.

Combining fresh clean lines and a bit of mid-century inspired scale and design inspiration, this villa has all of the glamorous personality of its celebrated location.
